Shifted ? -hybrid inflation, gravitino dark matter, and observable gravity waves

چکیده
We investigate supersymmetric hybrid inflation in a realistic model based on the gauge symmetry $SU(4)_c \times SU(2)_L SU(2)_R$. The minimal standard (MSSM) $\mu$ term arises, following Dvali, Lazarides, and Shafi, from coupling of MSSM electroweak doublets to singlet superfield which plays an essential role inflation. primordial monopoles are inflated away by arranging that SU(2)_R$ is broken along inflationary trajectory. interplay between (above) coupling, gravitino mass, reheating discussed detail. explore regions parameter space yield dark matter observable gravity waves with tensor-to-scalar ratio $r \sim 10^{-4}-10^{-3}$.

Gravitino dark matter in hybrid gauge - gravity models
We study the phenomenology of generic supergravity models in which gravity mediation naturally competes with gauge mediation as the origin of supergravity-breaking. This class of hybrid models has been recently motivated in string inspired constructions and differs from usual gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking models in having messenger masses of order of the GUT scale. In these scenarios th...
متن کاملGravitino Dark Matter in Gravity Mediation
We study general conditions for the gravitino to be the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) in models with gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking. We find that the decisive quantities are the Kähler potential K and the gauge kinetic function f . In constrained MSSM (CMSSM) type models, the gravitino LSP occurs if the gaugino mass at the GUT scale is greater than approximately 2.5 gravitino ...
متن کاملFibre Inflation: Observable Gravity Waves from IIB String Compactifications
We introduce a simple string model of inflation, in which the inflaton field can take trans-Planckian values while driving a period of slow-roll inflation. This leads naturally to a realisation of large field inflation, inasmuch as the inflationary epoch is well described by the single-field scalar potential V = V0 ( 3− 4e−φ̂/ √ 3 ) . Remarkably, for a broad class of vacua all adjustable paramet...
متن کاملLeptogenesis and Gravitino Dark Matter
We study implications of thermal leptogenesis for the superparticle mass spectrum. A consistent picture is obtained if the lightest superparticle is the gravitino, which can be the dominant component of cold dark matter. In the case of a long-lived charged scalar lepton as next-to-lightest superparticle, supergravity can be tested at the next generation of colliders, LHC and ILC.

It is certainly very attractive that two longstanding open questions -the origin of electroweak symmetry breaking -and the nature of the non-baryonic dark matter in the Universeseem to be on the verge of being answered simultaneously and presumably in a unified framework. LHC will give us the opportunity to start scratching the surface of this issue and, if we are lucky enough, to hint more cle...
